Hobgoblin Music was founded in 1976 by Mannie and Pete McClelland while searching for a concertina for her to play. Many other interesting instruments came to light and the search grew into a business as they discovered they were not the only ones who wanted to buy folk instruments, but couldn’t find any. read more...

Definition: traditionally used by aboriginal people of Northern Australia; an end-blown, straight, natural trumpet, without separate mouthpiece, made from termite hollowed eucalyptus branch, stripped of its outer bark, with beeswax at mouth end.
Introduction: The Didgeridoo(or Didjeridu or Didjeridu) is an instrument native to Austalia. It is a long wooden tube traditionally made from a hollowed out eucalyptus branch. The branch may have been bored out by the activity of termites. The player makes the sound in a similar way to blowing a raspberry or playing a huge tuba.
